Biography:Daniel Faitaua was born and raised in Christchurch to Samoan parents, growing up in a close-knit Pasifika family. His grandmother insisted Samoan be spoken at home, shaping his cultural identity and early language development. He attended Catholic Cathedral College and later graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Arts (Japanese & American Studies). He then trained at the New Zealand Broadcasting School (CPIT/Ara).
