Over de A4 2026 -
Overview:The A4, one of the Netherlands' most important traffic arteries, was opened in 1957 but only recently reached full completion. For decades, a crucial 6.5-kilometer section between Delft and Rotterdam was missing, leaving the connection incomplete and forcing traffic to take alternative routes. After more than fifty years of discussions, planning, and legal proceedings, this missing section was finally realized in 2015. Since then, the A4 runs uninterrupted from the A10 ring road around Amsterdam to the Rotterdam Benelux interchange, resulting in improved traffic flow and a stronger connection between the cities of the Randstad.
